1) Join the SSA e-mail list so you can hear all the latest news and calls to action. We must stand as one! Go to the PLEDGE page to join the fun. No dues, no rules.
2) Call the top managers at Parks & Recreation: Bob Overstreet at 808-8379 and Janet Baker at 808-5200. Tell them you want the park opened now and you won't come if they make you were pads!
3) Call Councilmember Kevin McCarty at 808-7006 and tell him the same: No fee, No supervisor, No pads, No helmet. And then remind him that you still don't have a skate park yet. All the other councilmembers are at this same phone number by the way.
4) Call Mayor Heather Fargo at 808-7006. Make it known that we are not happy. We want our parks open! Now! make sure she knows that if helmet and pads are required and enforced, the skate parks will be empty.
5) Now put a reminder on your calendar to call Bob, Janet, Kevin and Heather again EVERY WEEK!
6) Now it's time to e-mail!! Write a great, passionate but short message about what you want and when you want it and send it to all of them. Here are the e-mail addresses for them, the city manager, and the rest of the city council:
